These aluminum wheels are an obvious choice for anyone who wants to easily replace their original wheels with a more efficient model. The Ksyrium S gives a performance boost to any bike. It's an accessible gateway to Mavic quality, without taking any shortcuts.
The Ksyrium S weighs 60g less than the old Ksyrium UST while being wider, stronger and stiffer laterally. Fore technology reinforces rigidity. The upper bridge of the rim is not drilled, which optimizes its strength and rigidity, and eliminates the need to install rim tape: this is another 30 g saved on each wheel. With the new profile of the upper bridge of the rim, mounting and demounting a tire has never been so easy; our UST Tubeless technology reduces rolling resistance and increases grip while limiting the risk of punctures. These rims are made in France, in our aluminum rim factory.
Our new Infinity hub platform optimizes stiffness and power transfer, thanks to carefully tuned spoke tension. The Instant Drive 360 freewheel body combined with the QRM Auto automatic bearing adjustment guarantees quick engagement, good rigidity and increased durability. The Ksyrium S is fast, and it shows. The matt paint of the hubs, the invisible welds and the black color of the spokes give the wheel a strong and unique visual identity.
It can be fitted with Shimano cassettes, and is convertible to Campagnolo or XD-Road using optional freewheel bodies
